Eye area with natural pigmentation in light from a window
Illustrative image

“Lightening” describes a wish, not yet a suitable method. Brown skin colour is different from a shadow cast by the shape of the eye area. Thin skin may also look darker without an additional pigment spot. Our aim is a natural-looking change that respects your individual proportions and personal expression.

Not a treatment result. Sliders express visual preferences; they do not assess your anatomy or suitability. Your own photos are not altered. Which question helps you choose?

First ask whether skin colour or contour would need to change. Filler is not a universal lightening treatment. Skincare and procedures aimed at pigmentation require their own assessment for delicate eyelid skin. The aim is an improvement suited to the cause, not a promise of completely even skin colour.

Sleep, stress and dark circles

Looking tired does not automatically mean that too little sleep is the cause. Assessment also considers the skin and the shape of the transition between the lower eyelid and cheek. Describe whether the dark appearance is constant or changes during the day. Colour alone cannot determine a suitable treatment.

Concealer, skincare or injections?

Make-up can conceal a difference in colour, but does not change the underlying contour. Whether skincare or a home remedy suits your concern needs to be considered with the delicate eye area in mind. A temporary effect does not make surgery or injections necessary.

Hyaluronic acid may be an option for suitable hollows. It does not, however, remove every dark colour or every under-eye bag. Ask what is likely to change and what may remain. A painless procedure lasting only a few minutes with a certain result cannot be promised across the board.

Pictures and further questions

There are further insights on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. When looking at pictures, consider lighting, camera angle and possible editing. An illustrative picture does not show what result you could achieve.

The article on a hooked nose addresses a different concern. Wishes about nose shape are assessed separately; the link is not a recommendation to combine a nose procedure with treatment around the eyes.

Personal consultation and planning

Only an in-person medical examination can establish which treatment may be suitable. The consultation covers your goals, alternatives, risks and the next steps.

Preparation includes discussing your medical history, medication and previous procedures. The treating clinician, actual treatment location and follow-up arrangements are clarified before any firm agreement is made.

Possibilities and limitations

Hyaluronic acid fillers can temporarily alter contours and volume. Possible side effects include swelling, bruising and infection. Accidental injection into a blood vessel can cause serious complications, including tissue damage and visual impairment.

Aftercare and everyday life

Recovery and the return to normal activity depend on the treatment and your individual healing process. Swelling, bruising and discomfort may occur. Your treating doctor will explain aftercare and when you can resume everyday activities and exercise.

How do I arrange an appointment?

Before making a firm agreement, clarify who will treat you, where the treatment will take place, and what preparation and aftercare are required. Mentioning a city on an information page does not confirm that there is a clinic at that location.
