Which hyaluronic acid product is suitable for the under-eye area?
Non-surgical treatments around the eyes serve different purposes. Botulinum toxin can affect selected expression lines, while a suitable hyaluronic acid filler may address certain volume deficits. Pigmented dark circles, swelling, protruding fat and excess skin each require assessment.
Not all of these changes can be treated with injections, and combining procedures is not automatically appropriate. A Mc Aesthetics consultation considers the options in light of the examination and explains limitations, risks and alternatives.
Mc Aesthetics values a natural-looking eye area that suits your personal expression. Your own eye shape and facial movement should guide the aesthetic goal, rather than exaggerated shapes or changing social media trends.
Less hollowing is a measurable outcome
A tear-trough study assessed whether hollowing improved by at least one grade after three months.
Participants with improvement · %
Dot = study estimate · line = 95% confidence interval, showing uncertainty in the estimate.
How to read this chart The study addressed moderate to severe hollowing. It does not demonstrate lightening of pigmented dark circles or treatment of under-eye bags.

Dark circles: consultation and travel
A personal consultation can be prepared even if you are travelling from further away. Our locations overview lists the current Mc Aesthetics cities. Before travelling, agree the precise location, your availability and any documents needed with us.
If treatment follows, allow for recovery time, a possible companion and accessible aftercare. A place name alone says nothing about which procedure is suitable for you.

What does hyaluronic acid do in the body?
Hyaluronic acid, also called hyaluronan, occurs naturally in various tissues and body fluids. It binds water and contributes, among other things, to skin hydration and the properties of joint fluid. This does not mean that every product containing hyaluronic acid has the same effect or that an injection is free of risk.
