Under-eye injection is not a risk-free route to a fresher appearance. Alongside any hollow, skin, tendency to swell and previous treatment need assessment. Our aesthetic aim remains your own natural-looking eye area.

Possible effects include bruising, swelling, palpable irregularities and an unsatisfactory transition between lid and cheek. Rare vascular complications can threaten tissue and eyesight. Visual changes, unusually severe pain or marked skin discolouration after injection require immediate medical help; do not wait for a routine review.
Before treatment, ask about the specific product, suitability for your findings and the response to complications. Mention earlier fillers, operations and persistent swelling. Darker pigmentation or a pronounced eye bag is not automatically a reason for more volume. Advising against injection can also be part of responsible consultation.

Possibilities and limitations
Hyaluronic acid fillers can temporarily alter contours and volume. Possible side effects include swelling, bruising and infection. Accidental injection into a blood vessel can cause serious complications, including tissue damage and visual impairment.
Discuss risks beforehand
Ask about common side effects as well as rare but serious complications. Before deciding, clarify which symptoms would require prompt medical review after treatment and whom you can contact.
Separate the cause from the treatment goal
A lack of sleep or a stressful period does not explain every dark under-eye area. Skin colour, visible blood vessels, the tear trough and swelling need separate assessment. A filler may be an option for a suitable volume deficit; it does not automatically remove pigmentation or eye bags. How do dark circles develop? explores these differences.
Consider other treatments individually
You can also raise questions about lip fillers, cheek volume, the jawline, nasolabial folds, the corners of the mouth or marionette lines. Non-surgical nose reshaping has its own vascular risks. Forehead and frown lines, crow’s feet and fine lower-eyelid lines also need separate assessment; an under-eye injection does not automatically address these concerns.
Body treatments such as cryolipolysis, including CoolSculpting, and so-called fat-dissolving injections are not hyaluronic acid treatments for the eye area. Combining procedures is neither a general advantage nor automatically appropriate. Goals, suitability, risks and the interval between procedures need to be discussed for each treatment.
Images, expectations and your decision
Aftercare and everyday life
Recovery and the return to normal activity depend on the treatment and your individual healing process. Swelling, bruising and discomfort may occur. Your treating doctor will explain aftercare and when you can resume everyday activities and exercise.
Mc Aesthetics provides information and handles organisational enquiries. Medical consultations, informed consent and treatment are the responsibility of the respective medical providers.
How do I arrange an appointment?
Before making a firm agreement, clarify who will treat you, where the treatment will take place, and what preparation and aftercare are required. Mentioning a city on an information page does not confirm that there is a clinic at that location.
