Understanding dark circles and discussing your wishes
Dark shadows under the eyes can make the face look tired. However, lack of sleep and stressful periods do not explain every change. Pigmentation, visible blood vessels, hollows, swelling and skin changes can occur together. The skin around the eyes is thin and sensitive. Planning therefore starts with an examination and a discussion of what personally bothers you and what you would like to change.

Open the full visual guideMc Aesthetics values a natural-looking eye area that suits your expression. Your own eye shape and facial movement set the reference point. The smoothest possible social-media image is not a universal treatment goal. Choosing not to have a procedure is also part of an open-minded consultation.
What role might hyaluronic acid play?
A hyaluronic acid filler is only an option for a suitable volume deficit. It cannot remove every type of pigmentation, protruding fatty tissue or excess skin. Other causes require different considerations and, where appropriate, further medical assessment. A substance occurring naturally in the body or a product being biodegradable does not make its injection risk-free. Possibilities, limitations and alternatives are discussed individually.
Consultation, quality and your decision
You can send an enquiry to our contact team by email or WhatsApp. The consultation location and responsible doctor are clarified before the appointment. Ask about qualifications, experience with the eye area and the management of possible complications. A careful examination, clear information and accessible aftercare are important topics; a particular level of satisfaction or duration of effect cannot be promised to everyone.
The consultation covers your wishes, previous treatments, products used, medical conditions and medicines. Take enough time to ask questions. Consultation and treatment may take place at separate appointments. Whether a procedure is appropriate at a particular time depends on medical assessment and your informed decision. An enquiry commits you neither to a method nor to treatment immediately after the consultation.
Treatment and what follows
If filler treatment is agreed, the product, treatment area, extent of treatment, possible anaesthesia and approach are explained. Pain, swelling, bruising, irregularities and infection are possible. Accidental injection into a blood vessel can cause serious complications, including tissue damage and visual impairment. Discuss these risks explicitly and ask which symptoms require urgent assessment.
The early appearance after injection is different from the later result. Swelling and tissue reactions may initially affect the contour. How long a change remains visible depends on the product, the initial findings and your individual response, among other factors. This does not establish a fixed duration or permanent removal of all dark circles. Follow-up appointments allow the actual course to be assessed.
Treatment record, documentation and aftercare
Ask for clear documentation, for example in a treatment record or equivalent summary. This should include the date, product, treated area and responsible doctor. Clarify aftercare instructions, follow-up appointments and whom to contact with symptoms. Sudden visual impairment requires immediate emergency help; unusual pain or abnormal skin discolouration after an injection must be assessed medically without delay.
