Abdominal liposuction is a form of local body contouring. A sound plan considers the existing fat layer, skin and abdominal wall. Mc Aesthetics focuses on natural proportions and a change that suits your body and your own preferences.

How would you like to look?
Move the sliders to explore a direction that feels right for you. Then add your own photos using the framing guide and enter your contact details.
Not a treatment result. Sliders express visual preferences; they do not assess your anatomy or suitability. Your own photos are not altered. The model does not distinguish fat, skin or the abdominal wall. The photo and contact guide continues in German. You can write your enquiry in English.

Research, explained
A relevant original study, its measurements and its limits. The findings describe studied groups, not your personal outcome.
The cohort covers liposuction overall. It gives no separate risk estimate for this body area or for an additional skin lift.
Selected study findings
In 11,490 stand-alone liposuctions, a US cohort recorded 0.7% major complications within 30 days: emergency visit, hospital admission or reoperation.

01
When might abdominal liposuction be an option?
A local deposit of subcutaneous fat may be a reason to seek advice. The procedure treats neither internal abdominal fat nor general excess weight. Which abdominal fat can be removed? explains the distinction. Excess skin and abdominal wall changes need their own assessment.
02
What is assessed before surgery?
The consultation covers medical conditions, medications, smoking, weight history and previous operations. Examination assesses skin quality, fat distribution, scars and possible abdominal wall abnormalities. Describe your wishes as specifically as possible and ask what change is realistic for your circumstances.

03
How is the procedure planned?
First, the target areas and treatment limitations are discussed. The technique, anaesthetic and appropriate care setting are then chosen. Fat is removed through small access points using cannulas. Device brands alone cannot tell you which method is suitable for you.
Before deciding, ask about the operating clinician’s qualifications, the facility, aftercare and whom to contact with concerns. A written plan should also include alternatives and the option of declining surgery. BAPRAS provides general information about the procedure.
04
How do everyday activity and the final result differ?
Returning to work, resuming sport and assessing the contour are different milestones. Agree separate recommendations for your job, movement and training. Timing depends on the extent of surgery and healing. A blanket clearance for sport on a fixed date would be too imprecise.
Swelling can affect appearance for a prolonged period. Weight changes and ageing continue to influence body shape after healing. Liposuction therefore does not mean a permanently unchanging silhouette. The NHS guide explains recovery.
05
Which risks need discussion?
Risks include irregularities, sensory changes, fluid collections and infection. Serious complications such as thrombosis or damage to deeper structures also require discussion. The ASPS risk overview lists key risks; individual factors need medical assessment.
Agree before surgery whom to contact with concerns. Sudden breathlessness or chest pain requires immediate medical help. Severe or unexpected symptoms need prompt assessment. Is abdominal liposuction dangerous? addresses further questions.
06
Which alternatives fit the findings?
For excess skin, abdominoplasty may be discussed; with suitable anatomy and a wish for visible muscle lines, six-pack surgery may be considered. Both need a separate assessment. Administrative questions about health insurance are covered separately.

From contour preferences to consultation
Start with the abdominal and waist sliders. You can then optionally add photographs using the guide and enter your contact details. The preview makes preferences easier to describe but does not replace examination or a decision about an appropriate treatment.
