Can hyaluronic acid be injected under the eyes?

Hyaluronic acid treatment beneath the eyes may be suitable for selected volume deficits. It does not remove every form of pigmentation, protruding fat or excess skin. Under-eye bags, a deep tear trough and changes in colour each need their own assessment.

Yellowish skin changes should also be assessed by a doctor first; colour alone is not a reason to recommend filler. You can request an eye-area consultation at Mc Aesthetics to discuss suitable options, limitations and risks.

Mc Aesthetics values a natural-looking eye area that suits your personal expression. Your own eye shape and facial expressions should guide the aesthetic approach, rather than exaggerated forms or changing social media trends.

Putting experiences with hyaluronic acid treatment into perspective

Personal experiences may offer insight into expectations and healing. They cannot reliably predict your own result. Your clinical findings, an explanation from the doctor and coordinated aftercare are what matter when making a decision.

You can find further insights on the social media channels linked here. The content shown there does not replace a personal medical consultation.

Which hyaluronic acid filler is suitable for the tear trough?

Hyaluronic acid fillers differ in their properties and intended uses. A product for the lips or another facial area is therefore not automatically suitable for the tear trough.

Descriptions such as “soft” or “light” are not enough to guide the choice. The individual findings, the tissues around the eyes and the product information are what matter. Suitable options, limitations and risks are explained before treatment.

Preparing for your consultation

If you are dissatisfied after treatment, an examination is a sensible first step. The cause may lie in the healing stage, an unwanted change in shape or a complication. Whether correction is possible and appropriate depends on the product used, the findings and how things have developed over time.

  1. Look for medical qualifications appropriate to the treatment and demonstrated experience with the proposed procedure.
  2. Ask which product will be used.
  3. Before treatment, the clinical findings, expectations, suitable procedures, alternatives and personal risks are discussed.
  4. Ask for clear documentation of the treatment, including the date, product, treated area and doctor responsible. Agreed follow-up appointments and contact details for questions should also be recorded.

These four points help you prepare a focused consultation. Ask about your individual suitability and allow for any follow-up appointments. The article on the tear trough before and after treatment explains how to interpret images.

Hyaluronic acid treatments differ according to area, product and individual findings. Cheek contouring cannot be compared with dark-circle treatment using a blanket quantity. The eye area has specific anatomical requirements and risks that must be considered when selecting and applying a product.
