Does treatment for dark circles hurt?
It is understandable to ask about pain when considering treatment around the eyes. The skin beneath the eyes is sensitive, and people experience pain differently. Speak openly about any fears or previous unpleasant experiences. A consultation can establish which procedure, if any, is suitable and which anaesthetic options would fit it.
Patient satisfaction is a priority at Mc Aesthetics. Pain, swelling and bruising may occur. Symptoms and recovery time vary from person to person.
Hyaluronic acid may be considered for selected hollows under the eyes. Treatment uses a needle or cannula, depending on the approach; even a fine instrument does not automatically make it painless. Some products contain a local anaesthetic.
Pain, tenderness, swelling and bruising are nevertheless possible. Duration and recovery depend on the findings and the treatment. Swelling does not always subside within a few days; persistent or worsening symptoms should be assessed by a doctor.
Anaesthetic cream
Some hyaluronic acid fillers contain a local anaesthetic. Whether this is sufficient or additional anaesthesia would be appropriate is decided individually. A cream can reduce sensation but cannot promise complete freedom from pain. The product and its use need particular care around the eyes.
Discuss any concerns, allergies and previous experiences during the consultation. Mc Aesthetics values a natural-looking eye area that suits your personal expression. Your own eye shape and facial expressions should guide the aesthetic approach, rather than exaggerated forms or changing social media trends.
Experiences and options
Whether dark shadows under your eyes bother you and whether you would like to cover them with makeup is your own decision. Injections can alter selected contours but do not promise completely even skin colour.
Hyaluronic acid is not suitable for every change around the eyes. A deep tear trough needs to be distinguished from an under-eye bag: fillers add volume and remove neither protruding fat nor excess skin. Suitability therefore needs to be assessed before treatment.
Personal reviews, for example on Jameda, can offer insight into individual experiences. They establish neither suitability for your clinical findings nor a particular result. An examination and individual medical information are what matter for your decision.
You can find additional perspectives on aesthetic topics on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. Images capture individual situations and do not predict your own treatment result.
Treatment for dark circles is preceded by a personal examination and consultation. Possible causes, suitable procedures and their limitations are explained. Ask about risks, alternatives and aftercare too. For scheduling enquiries, you can email Contact form.
Understanding symptoms after treatment
Recovery after treatment varies from person to person. Swelling, bruising, tenderness or other symptoms may temporarily affect everyday life. An immediate return to unrestricted activity cannot be promised.
Preparation, recovery, follow-up appointments and possible warning signs are discussed beforehand. Contact a doctor about unexpected or worsening symptoms. New changes in vision, unusually severe pain or noticeably pale skin after a filler injection require immediate medical attention.
